How can you possibly leave out Sierra Nevada in Chico?? Maybe you need a list of Legacy breweries. And Deschutes in Oregon? Maybe a regional list would serve readers, finding places geographically

Sierra Nevada in Asheville NC is also very nice. Best brewery taproom we’ve ever visited.

This article is pure rubbish. There are at least 75 breweries in the USA better than this list.

Hop Valley in Eugene Oregon is a brewery that never gets on these BS list of the best breweries. Try Alphadelic & Alpha Centuri & you’ll get it! HV is far better than Russian River Brewery imo, & I live just an hour away from RRB!

Founders, Toppling Goliath, 3 Floyd’s… Your list reads like you haven’t sampled many breweries.

Legacy: Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo Michigan. Started in the 1980’s. Larry Bell made craft beer before it was a fad. Two Hearted Ale is the best. Oberon is nice for a hot summer day. In the 90’s, use to buy hops, etc from them to make our own beer.

Anyone who thinks you can truly produce a top 5 brewery list does not understand beer or beer culture. There are SO many great breweries in the country that there’s no way you can narrow it down to 5. 100 maybe. Not to mention that leaving off breweries from places like Asheville, NC means that you haven’t actually experienced enough good breweries. 😁

A several ‘taprooms’ we would add to the list are Stone and Ballast Point in San Diego, Boulevard in Kansas City, MO, and Saint Arnold in Houston, TX… we’re happy to ground-truth your list of five too

Perhaps this article would be better titled, “5-Intriguing Craft Breweries”. There’s no data/evidence to support the claim these breweries are ‘the 5-best’! They sound cool, worth visiting, not necessarily best.
