Not tired of compassion, can always feel for those who really have been handed a bad hand in life of caught in random acts.

Its weaponized empathy of the leftists who scream at you to care and when you ask questions about just how they feel wronged, they come up with generic sweeping racist or sexist responses and can almost never point to anything concrete in their lives.

Great article with great tips. And I want to point out a misnomer. Empathy fatigue is the real problem, not compassion fatigue. Empathy triggers the pain centers in the brain, while compassion triggers the reward centers. Real compassion is energizing and rewarding. I recommend reading Drs. Trezciak and Mazzarelli’s book, Compassionomics, the best summary of the research on compassion and wellness. Here’s more on the difference between empathy and compassion. https://www.next-element.com/resources/blog/what-is-the-difference-between-empathy-and-compassion/

I continue to have sympathy for actual victims. Not so much for those who inflict it on themselves by abusing their neighbors. Think Israel.
