How utterly snowflake. Free meals for workers? Spaces for socializing? This is a jobsite, not Silicon Valley. Every inch of a construction site is already allocated. Where is this “hub” going to go? Construction companies can’t afford these perks and remain competitive. Studies need to look into WHY construction workers commit suicide — and I suspect it’s because of job insecurity and the constant boom-and-bust cycles of the industry. These perks don’t address the reality of finding a new job every year or two.
