No offense to the writer but if you have spent any time around nurses or Hospice, you will understand that your beliefs have a HUGE impact on how you handle your own impending death. And just as you would expect (regardless of what this ‘study’ says), people who are religious, those who know where they are going after death, have a much easier time than those who do not know. Hospice Nurses will tell you those people are afraid to die. Doesn’t matter what they said on a survey one time or what some computer gathered metadata from who knows where says. Truth is…you don’t know God, you’re not Saved, you don’t think there is anything but emptiness and darkness out there, yeah, you will be afraid. I’ve held enough dying hands to know that so don’t be too comforted by this artice.
