I have a friend whose pet rat (yes, rat with an “r”) woke up him and his wife when a fire started in their home.

Not surprised by this study…one night recently I was awoke by my 2 cats who obviously wanted me to hear something…it sounded like a puppy barking…it turned out to be a fox barking at a feral cat who was eating food I had put out for them.

I have sleep apnea but don’t have a CPAP yet. My cat wakes me up if I stop breathing.

I took some NyQuil a while back. I slept so soundly that I’m sure I hadn’t moved for some time while I slept, which isn’t normal for me. I woke up to my cat pushing on me with his paws. He had never done that before.
