I am 63 yrs. old. I have lived in rural farm country all my life. I have horses, dogs, cats, chickens, cows, parrots, Guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, lambs etc. I have been kissing all of then for as long as I remember back in my diaper days. The dogs sleep in my bed too and they are out roaming the farm. I never had an issue with a health problem due to close contact with my pets. I have a weak immune system which works fine around the animals. All farm kids are raised this way. Don’t let this article keep you from kissing your pets or sleeping with them. Sure you need to be diligent if anything seems out of the ordinary and take care of any problems before they become an issue. Use common sense. Enjoy your pets!
