This is very true, but this article is still leaving out the huge fact that cell phones also contribute to this lack of play. I teach, and the free time students do have to interact (in and out of school) is not happening with the kids that have cell phones. They rather just sit and stare at a phone. The kids on their phone all the time also don’t know how to handle conflict because they don’t ‘play’.
