Because science can identify, describe, and provide a means by which we can enjoy a more enjoyable life might lead some of us into the notion that everything might some day be understood. (i.e. the Theory of Everything, when one mathematical formula will explain everything! ). The Holy Grail !!

On the other hand, the more we learn about the universe seems only to raise more questions.

Undoubtedly the future development of quantum computers will provide interesting insights.

Unevitably some entity must be eternal and transcendent to have brought the universe into existence. ( unless we allow ourselves to go beyond reason and assume the universe spontaneously came from nothing…even that requires faith!

We now recognize this existence as God.
Can we prove God exists? I submit a resounding “NO”
Taking into consideration all we know of the universe, the amount of circumstantial evidence very strongly implicates but does not incontrovertibly prove His Existence (which appears to be the way He wants it ). Why else would He tell us we need faith?

BottomLine: Science identifies phenomena but ultimately cannot tell us Who brought it into existence. That’s why I feel we need both science and religion. Perhaps the quantun computer will enlighten…??
