    There was a time when we played football without helmets and shoulder pads and learned all the proper techniques that helped us from getting hurt when we did move up to tackle football. Flag football, until high school, might be the best way to save the game and the kids that have relied too much on fancy over priced equipment rather than learning the game. There’s no reason to put pre-adolescent kids at a higher risk, unless you’re selling the gear…
