Black Friday 2022 is fast approaching and that means some of the best deals of the year on everything from socks to video games to kitchen sinks. It’s certainly a day when millions of Americans move forward with holiday shopping. With so many great sales to sort through, it can take hours just scouring all the sites for the best Black Friday deals. In fact, one survey reports that three quarters of parents agree that holiday shopping is harder than an Olympic sport! To help in that area, credit score and financial advice site WalletHub did its own research, coming away with what it believes to be the top bargains.
Now, before you start your bulk shopping, do your best to stay practical when it comes to spending your money. A 2021 study reports that two-thirds of shoppers have more impulse purchase on Black Friday and Cyber Monday than any other time of year. That means people are simply buying sale items whether or not they actually need the item they’re purchasing.
Inflation is also keeping many people from spending as much as they normally would, even on the best Black Friday deals like these. According to a recent survey, half of Americans believe Santa will be “less generous” this holiday season because of higher costs. The November 2022 WalletHub survey of 400 people found 40 percent of Americans are actually foregoing purchasing any holiday gifts this year!
