There are. Plenty of used pro v1 on Facebook marketplace at very reasonable prices. Use local pick up. Balls shipped to you are usually golf pond balls. Not good
The Snell ball is so much better than the Vice ball. I have played them both, a 5 Hdicap, and Snell should be 3 on the list. The TP5 is rated way to high as it takes a higher swing speed to control. I don’t think you did your homework on this one!
Been playing the Bridgestone e6 for five years now. Sure, there may be better balls, but the difference isn’t worth the price. The e6 is absolutely the best value vs quality ball on the market.
I did a stability test several years back. I took 10 different ball makes and put a stripe on each one. Using a stimpmeter I rolled each ball and measured the point where the ball began to roll ” off center” . The Bridgestone Tour B RSX rolled the farthest before it began to ” wobble”. Hence it proved to be the best ball rolling on the greens. Ball stability on the greens is most important to making putts in my estimation.
I would be interested to know the best golf balls for senior golfers with swing speeds below 80 but who also want feel around the green.
In-depth research there just list out the top selling balls. I use seed golf balls every bit as good as any of those same process to make and same result only it doesn’t cost you a fortune. As amateur golfers there’s enough outlay try smaller brands.
For a high handicapper, 13, i find the Bridgestone e6 more playable than the Titleist ProVs. Good selection of balls, great article.
Can’t understand the Vice love…agree with Gary…Snell MTB Prime is better ball at great price point.
I’ve been shagging lost golfballs on a local coarse for twelve years now. It’s an ideal coarse for it as the fairways are surrounded by Pacific Northwest Forrest. The doglegs snag a lot of shots. I average about 75 an hour. On a good day I can find 300 + in a couple hrs. That’s the count of a five gallon bucket full to the brim. I then clean them up where needed, and separate them by grade and make. Selling them used is easy and price range is crazy. The Titleist Pro V 1 and Pro V1X are the best seller along with the Callaway Chrome Soft. Two bucks a ball if their flawless like new with no writing or pen marks at all.Every other ball is fifty or twenty five cents if decent. The expensive brands are much more likely to be high grade ,less damaged finds. I avoid water balls but a lot of slices in the outer skin appear in some makes more than others. The Snell MTB Prime is a tough ball, so are Bridgestone and TaylorMade TP5, respectively. Precept, Nitro, Nike, not so much. The biggest demand of all is for the Callaway Chrome Soft “soccer” style multi- colored golf balls, which are rare to find.
