Are you ready to level up your hair game and unleash your inner fabulousness? Look no further because StudyFinds has crafted a list of the best hair dryers for your perusal. Whether you’re a hair novice or a seasoned pro, the best hair dryers are here to save the day, one blast of hot air at a time.

It turns out that the average woman barely has enough time to get herself together. In fact, a recent study shows that many women wish they had more time to spend doing their hair. With the endless responsibilities that we face today, it’s hard enough to just get time to relax.

A beginner’s guide to blow drying:

Although it may seem like second nature to many, blow-drying your own hair isn’t as simple as it seems. Below, we’ve come up with some tips for beginners to get started.

  1. Apply a heat protectant spray.
  2. Use the correct nozzle. Different nozzles can help to achieve different styles. For example, a diffuser can help to add volume and prevent frizz, while a concentrator can help to direct the airflow and create a sleek look.
  3. Start on a low heat setting. Gradually increase the heat as needed, but avoid using the highest heat setting all the time, as this can damage your hair.
  4. Blow dry your hair in sections. Start at the roots and work your way down to the ends. Use the concentrator nozzle to direct the airflow at the roots for lift, and then switch to the diffuser nozzle to add volume and prevent frizz on the ends.
  5. Finish with a cool shot. This will help to set your style and lock in shine.
  6. Avoid over-drying your hair. Over-drying can make your hair brittle and prone to breakage.
  7. Use a boar bristle brush. This type of brush will help to distribute natural oils throughout your hair and prevent static.
  8. Let your hair cool down before styling. If you style your hair while it is still hot, you are more likely to damage it.

The List: Best Hair Dryers, According to Experts

1. Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

Number one on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. “A true investment piece, the Dyson SuperSonic Hair Dryer arrived at our doorstep loaded with five different attachments and a high-powered, three-heat setting panel. With a strong, even airflow, it took about 20 minutes to thoroughly dry our hair, resulting in a flippy, bouncy look. As for the feel, the architecture of the blow dryer features a long, narrow handle, allowing us to grip comfortably, with a cool shot button as well as a power toggle located directly on the stem, making it shockingly simple for us to go between settings. The heat and high/low buttons are located on the back of the dryer’s head, and to change the heat setting, all we had to do was click a button,” says Instyle.

Feel the confidence that comes with a fabulous hair day – these gadgets are your secret to instant glamour. “Dyson is a trusted brand for a variety of household appliances, and the Supersonic hair dryer lives up to the company’s reputation,” shares Time.com.

Are you curious about the hairstyling secrets used by the pros to get that salon-quality look? “It’s no more effective than our other picks, but if you want the most pleasant hair-drying experience possible, the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer provides that. This dryer has an unusual design that makes it extraordinarily nice to use. It doesn’t vibrate whatsoever (all other dryers vibrate just a little, and the effect isn’t especially noticeable until you hold one that doesn’t), and its simple-to-switch magnetic attachments make styling with a diffuser or concentrator easier. It has a 9-foot cord,” adds NY Times.

2. BaBylissPro Nano Titanium Dryer

Number two on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is BaBylissPro Nano Titanium Dryer. “Those blessed (or cursed) with a head of thick, luscious hair know the struggle of finding a blow dryer that will actually dry it. This hair dryer from BaByliss not only dries thick hair in minutes, it also feels surprisingly lightweight. The blow dryer did a great job of drying my hair — it took about 7 minutes to style a third of my hair, which is extremely fast considering how thick my hair is,” says Instyle.

Unleash your inner hair goddess with these hair dryers that promise sleek, shiny, and frizz-free locks. “Built with nano titanium ionic technology designed to dry faster with less frizz and even heat, this hair dryer landed right in the middle of the pack of the ones we tested. Featuring six heat and speed settings, it comes with a concentrator nozzle, is lightweight and the toggle buttons are easy to manipulate while in use. As far as dry time, loudness, handle comfort and versatility? All right down the middle in comparison to other dryers tested. It doesn’t seem to get as hot as other models, but does a solid job in creating mostly straight and shiny hair, although the ends weren’t as smooth as with other versions. If you’re looking for a dependable hair dryer that doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a good pick,” says CNN.

Dreaming of effortlessly creating those gorgeous waves or super sleek styles? “The 2,000 watt-powered BaBylissPro Nano Titanium Dryer is an ionic hair dryer that smoothes your hair while cutting down on styling time. The featured nano titanium heat technology disperses a lower, controlled heat temperature to dry your hair without frying it in the process. This blow-dryer also features six speed and heat settings so your hair looks sleek and shiny without the issues of frizz, breakage, or flyaways,” shares Allure.

3. T3 Aireluxe Hairdryer

Number three on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is T3 Aireluxe Hair Dryer. “This T3 AirLuxe comes recommended by Foster because it’s great for all hair types and has a compact, sleek design. The hair dryer has a custom-engineered fan to provide a wide airflow so it can dry larger sections of hair faster, according to the brand. There’s a Volume Boost Button that adds volume and texture, and inside the T3 is a smart microchip that digitally controls 15 heat and speed combinations. It comes with a paddle brush, a round brush, a drying concentrator that provides a wide airflow to help your hair dry faster and a styling concentrator to focus air on one section at a time. If you want a diffuser or smoothing comb, you’ll need to purchase it separately,” says NBC News.

Unveil the science of rapid hair drying and styling, all in one handy device. “Many of the hair dryers on the market right now rely on ionic technology, which means they blast out negative ions to help hair dry faster. These negative ions counteract the positive ions found in wet hair and help dry it without as much damage as a normal hair dryer. The T3 Aireluxe Hairdryer relies on a unique ionic generator that infuses the air with 10 million negative ions per second, canceling frizz and smoothing out the hair cuticle. To take things up a notch, the tool also features a smart microchip that monitors the heat and airstream, drying large sections of hair quickly while minimizing heat exposure,” writes Byrdie.

Tired of waiting for your hair to air dry when you’re in a hurry? “I’ve been a longtime fan of T3, and the provided a chic upgrade to an older T3 dryer I’ve been using for many years. It comes equipped with a diffuser, two nozzle options, five heat settings, and three speed settings. It even has an automatic shutoff when you put it down. When I used it on both wet and dry hair on the hottest heat and strongest airflow, it took about 20 minutes to dry my hair and about ten minutes to create a bouncy, frizz-free dry style,” shares The Cut.

4. Remington’s ProLuxe HydraCare Dryer

Number four on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is Remington’s ProLuxe HydraCare Dryer. You’ll wonder how you ever survived without one of these in your life. “Remington’s ProLuxe HydraCare Dryer’s power comes from its smart sensor that continuously maintains air temperature for a damage-free experience while infusing the air (and therefore, your hair) with moisture-locking ions. Its digital motor is powerful enough to blow air at 80 miles per hour, but its three heat and two speed settings let you control airspeed and temperature to your liking,” writes Allure.

Looking for a user-friendly solution suitable for all hair types? “If you’re looking for an affordable drugstore dryer that really works, GH Beauty Lab test winner Remington is it. Testers gave it high marks for drying hair fast, great control button location and overall performance. The model also has a tangle-free fabric cord, though it is shorter than others. Even though it’s a bargain price, this tool doesn’t skimp on extras, including both concentrator and diffuser attachments. Some users thought it was a little heavy and loud, but two users commented on the good air pressure and heat emitted,” shares Good HouseKeeping.

5. Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer

Number five on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer. “Designed as a gentler solution to the typical damage-wreaking dryer, the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer is our top choice for damaged tresses in dire need of some TLC, delivered in a visually appealing and lightweight package. While the airstream wasn’t as concentrated as we might have liked, it nonetheless earns top marks as an option for those struggling with damaged hair, with its intentionally quieter airflow. When tested on long, thick and curly hair, we found the Halo offered a 54-minute blowout that left it looking smooth, straight and less frizzy when compared to our blowout pre-Halo. Instead of separate heat and speed settings, the Zuvi is outfitted with four modes that combine the two, termed ‘care, fast, soft, and style,” says Instyle.

Achieve hair perfection with salon-level quality in the comfort of your own home. “Similar to the Dyson in many ways, the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer is a great pick for those looking to avoid too much heat damage. The tool itself is really high-tech and dries hair with infrared-light energy (the brand’s patented LightCare technology) instead of high heat. But how does it work? Well, it’s modeled after the natural evaporation you’d find outside on a sunny day and dries water on the surface of the hair, which actually limits the amount of heat exposure (and, thus, damage). What’s more, the button placement on this tool is ideal,” writes Byrdie.

Looking for a magical solution that can deliver a gust of hairstyling enchantment? “This dryer’s LightCare technology is specifically engineered to reduce heat damage, using light to dry only the surface of each strand while maintaining the moisture within. The brand boasts that this product improves your hair’s internal moisture and retains its color for over 50 percent longer than other models. The gentle dryer gets less hot than many mainstream options, so it’s also a great choice for individuals with sensitive scalps,” shares Time.com.

6. Conair Infinitipro SmoothWrap Hair Dryer

Number six on the list of experts for the best hair dryers is Conair Infinitipro SmoothWrap Hair Dryer. Get ready to show off your fabulous locks and become your very own hair hero. “Many cheap blow-dryers don’t come with ‘cool’ settings, which are essential for sealing the hair shaft. A closing blast of cold air after a blowout helps hair to look especially shiny and smooth. This one does both hot and cold air especially well for a very reasonable price,” says The Cut.

Ready to say goodbye to those frustrating hair struggles every morning? “Designed with dual ion therapy, the InfinitiPro by Conair SmoothWrap Hair Dryer emits both positive and negative ions to enhance shine and leave hair feeling extra smooth. Hear that, frizz? Your days are numbered. Ceramic technology ensures that heat damage is kept to a minimum as well. Powered by a 1875-watt motor, three heat settings, and two speeds, your blowouts will take less time than you thought possible. The best part is that the dryer comes ready to roll (err, style) with a curls-friendly diffuser and concentrator nozzle,” adds Allure.

7. Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer

Finally, number seven on the expert’s recommendation for the best hair dryers is Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer. “The Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer is a compact, barrel-shaped device that isn’t too heavy or too loud. We love how the heat and airflow buttons are positioned near the rear of the barrel as opposed to the front, which helps us avoid shutting the blow-dryer off mid-blowout,” says Allure.

Ever wondered how to make your daily hair routine feel like a trip to the salon? “Hair dryers can come with a diverse set of speed settings designed to cut down on drying time. The Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer, for example, is very powerful and has three settings, which can be increased or decreased manually to low, medium, and high, based on your preference,” Byrdie shares.

Not everyone is a fan of this one, though. “The attachments that come with this dryer actually feel like they belong on a vacuum. They’re not intuitive to use on your hair, and the device is heavy—the heaviest I tested, at 2 pounds without any attachments—and loud. It’s trying to be a more affordable Dyson dupe, but it’s not quite there yet,” writes Forbes.

  1. The most important rating was not covered here. How much electromagnetic radiation does it emit? People who use a hair drier a lot get leukemia. The 60 cycle buzz is dangerous. A hair drier that does not cause leukemia would be best yet it is not talked about in the article.
