Best Memorial Day Sales: Top 5 Holiday Deals Most Recommended By Pro Shoppers

Memorial Day in the United States of America is observed annually on the last Monday of May to honor the lives of military troops who sacrificed their lives in the line of service. Many do so by enjoying a day off of work to kick off the summer. This may mean heading to the beach for the long weekend or having a backyard cookout to commemorate the holiday. This also means some of the best Memorial Day sales swing back around. If you look forward to the annual discounts, keep reading to find out what’s out there this year.

While it is used as a day of fun, the holiday’s significance is still very important to remember. “For many Americans, Memorial Day is a much-needed day off to relax and enjoy their family. It is important to understand that it is also a solemn day of remembrance. For me, as a combat veteran, and for military members and their families, this day holds great significance. Not everyone I served with was fortunate enough to return home,” says Brian Ishmael, senior director, University of Phoenix Office of Military and Veteran Affairs and former U.S. Army sergeant, in a recent study.

As Americans remember and honor those who have sacrificed for their country, Americans also look forward to the joys of summer. With the start of summer comes longer days, warmer weather, and, of course, the sales and discounts that come with the start of the season. With current technology at our fingertips, it is easier than ever to seek out and purchase holiday sale items and services.

Be forewarned though, if you are planning to do your shopping online, be wary. Research indicates that shopping with a touch screen could make shopping a little too easy and lead to splurge purchases. Study author Ying Zhu found that students were more likely to purchase the less practical items on their phones. “The playful and fun nature of the touchscreen enhances consumers’ favor of hedonic products; while the logical and functional nature of a desktop endorses the consumers’ preference for utilitarian products,” Zhu explains in a university news release.

Cautionary tales aside, the holiday’s hot deals are something to look out for this year. That’s why StudyFinds has scoured the net for the best Memorial Day Deals of 2023. Let us know what deals you are looking for in the comments below or any suggestions you have for the holiday’s shopping!
