CGC Cards adds that Curry’s Playoff National Treasures 1/1 Logo Man autograph is the most expensive basketball card ever. That sold for $5.9 million.

2. 2009-10 Topps Chrome #101 Rookie Card

Another must-have Curry rookie card is his 2009-10 Topps Chrome card. Sports Card Investor says the glossy version of Curry’s Topps Chrome rookie card has soared to new monetary heights that few non-refractors will ever see.

What makes this card special is that 2009 was the last year Topps Chrome basketball cards were released, notes Cardbase. While some of these cards have sold for over $200,000 — like Curry’s Topps Chrome Gold Refractor /50 — others can be found for considerably less, including his regular white base cards that were part of a /999 set.

Sports Card Specialist adds that Curry’s Topps Chrome rookie card has more of a market than the superstar’s other basic rookies. Even though Curry doesn’t have autographs or patch cards in 2009 Topps Chrome, that doesn’t dampen collectors’ enthusiasm for this treasure.

3. 2009-10 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Autograph #72

Every serious Curry collector needs the 2009-10 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Autograph rookie card. ClutchPoints says, if collectors have the money, this is a fantastic card to add to their collection. The card shows Curry in his Davidson College uniform.

Arena Club notes that only 225 of these cards were ever produced, making it a very sought-after piece. Sports Card Research adds that it’s one of the most valuable Curry rookie cards to own, calling it a “thing of beauty.”

4. 2009-10 Panini Prestige #157/#207/#230 Rookie Cards

We tripled up this spot since Curry has three separate rookie cards in the 2009-10 Panini Prestige set. According to Sports Card Investor, one card shows Curry in a Warriors uniform, another in his Warriors warm-up jersey, and a third in his college uniform.

Arena Club calls Curry’s Panini Prestige cards a “real slam dunk” due to their aesthetic appeal and design. Beckett adds these cards are on the cheaper end of Curry’s rookie cards so they’re very affordable for the average collector.

5. 2009-10 Bowman ’48 #106 Rookie Card

Rounding out the top five is Curry’s 2009-10 Bowman ’48 rookie card. The card design resembles the original 1948 set, giving it that vintage appeal, says PWCC Marketplace. The most coveted Curry parallel from the set? It’s the Curry Bowman ’48 Black parallel numbered to /48, since its 40 times rarer than the base and blue cards from the set.

The card features a close-up of Curry in his Davidson uniform as he’s shooting a free throw. Sports Card Investor notes sales average around $7,000 for this specific Curry rookie. Cardbase says that these Curry rookie cards are a “good choice” for any fan to add to their collection.
