1. Rent a house on the beach
There are a few boutique hotels on the island, no chain hotels here! Some are on the beach side of the island while others face the marina. While any of these would be a beautiful place to stay, opt for a rental home. Using VRBO you can find a place just steps from the beach. There is something pretty magical about being able to walk out your back door and run onto a beach that is basically deserted. Also having your own place allows you to cook meals at home if you choose.
2. Stop at Captain Bob’s Marketplace
Don’t be shocked by the prices here. Remember you are on an island so all food has been brought over by boat, that is except seafood. Captain Bob’s carries various seafood at prices that won’t break the bank. We suggest trying the crab legs.
3. Rent a golf cart
This is a small island, like super small, which makes a golf cart the perfect way to help explore the island. Some VRBO listings might even be able to rent you a golf cart with the house and all the hotels, restaurants, and stores allow for easy golf cart parking.
4. Have lunch at one of the quaint boutique hotels
We recommend a hotel on the beach side of the island for optimal views and relaxing zen wave sounds. Pink Sands Resort offers a variety of fresh fare including must-haves like the Coconut Conch Soup, Stone Crab Salad, and the Native Grouper Barigoule.
5. Take a charter boat to see the turtles
