Best Women’s Pajamas In 2023: Top 5 Sets Most Recommended By Experts

For most women there’s nothing better than slipping into a set of pajamas after a long day. After all, it’s important to be comfortable when trying to get a good night’s sleep. Whether you like to be wrapped in the fuzziest and warmest material or a lightweight sleep set, this list of the best women’s pajamas has you covered.

Comfort can make or break how well you sleep. According to new research, the average American wakes up feeling well-rested only three mornings out of the week. A survey of 2,000 U.S. adults reports that the average person doesn’t get anywhere near the quality or amount of sleep they want. The study concludes that not only were Americans seldom waking up feeling refreshed, but the average person also struggles to wind down before bed nearly half of the week.

Another study by researchers from Washington State University found that getting proper sleep regularly may help increase a woman’s professional ambitions. “When women are getting a good night’s sleep and their mood is boosted, they are more likely to be oriented in their daily intentions toward achieving status and responsibility at work,” says Sheppard, an associate professor in WSU’s Carson College of Business. “If their sleep is poor and reduces their positive mood, then we saw that they were less oriented toward those goals.”

A great pair of pajamas can help you to feel relaxed and comfortable when trying to get those much-needed zzz’s. So, what are the coziest choices to keep you cozy at bedtime? StudyFinds compiled a list of the five best women’s pajamas, from ten expert websites, to find the perfect pair to wear to bed. As always, we’d like to see your own recommendations in the comments below!

1. L.L. Bean Scotch Plaid Flannel Pajamas

For $79, these affordable flannel PJ’s come in several colors. “The fabric is soft and warm, with a thick, opaque look that’s ideal for lounging around during breakfast with houseguests,” according to The Spruce.

“The super soft, expertly brushed Portuguese cotton flannel material is the ideal weight for staying toasty without overheating,” points out Real Simple.

Plus, they wash well. “After a couple of washes and several days of wear, the L.L. Bean pajamas only got softer, and the stitching looked perfectly intact,” adds The New York Times.

2. Lunya Washable Silk Tee Set

This next set comes in several color options and is great for both hot and cold sleepers. “Thanks to its thermoregulation silk, Lunya has created magic in this set. Great for the summer or winter, the material may help keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter,” notes Byrdie.

“The Silk Tee Set features its infamous washable and sustainable silk with a drapey, oversized top and matching micro shorts for a cool approach to bedtime garbs,” points out Women’s Wear Daily.

Real Simple says it’s more than just PJ’s. “Designed with clean, geometric lines, the Lunya Washable Silk Tee set is also chic enough to wear outside the house. If you style it right, this set could even make it to brunch—though we recommend washing it first.”

One drawback? At $198, this machine-washable silk set is on the more expensive side.

3. Eberjey Gisele Long PJ Set

If you’re yearning for a lightweight everyday pajama set, for $138, these could be your best bet. “It’s breathable for year-round wear, provides good coverage for cooler months, and has a flowy drape that gives it an elevated appearance,” according to Forbes.

“These loose-fit pajamas have a larger fit in the waist and arms. The elastic waistband hits right below your belly button and the sleeves hit halfway between your wrist and knuckles,” adds USA Today.

Women’s Wear Daily also likes the cropped short version. “Eberjey’s super soft Tencel modal has become the brand’s bread and butter fabrication, making it the destination for comfortable pajamas with a variety of silhouettes. Being woman-founded, the brand focuses on feel-good items that radiate confidence.”

This set washes well, but some reviewers did note it wrinkles easily in the dryer.

4. Cozy Earth Women’s Long Sleeve Bamboo Pajamas in Stretch-Knit

Hot sleepers, keep reading. “Made with breathable bamboo-based fabric, these luxe jammies are ideal for warm weather,” points out Cosmopolitan.

There’s also a short sleeve option available. However, at $185, these pajamas are pricey, so keep an eye out for sales.

5. SKIMS Sleep Set

Want pajamas that can also double as loungewear? At $118, this size-inclusive set is worth a look. Even if you’re not a Kardashian fan, experts love Kim K’s loungewear and pajama options.
