    In a sprint where margins are sliver thin – a “mere” .08s or 1.65% difference means everything. So if your goal is to win, you swing your arms.

      A sprinter with no arms . Will be a lot slower than a sprinter with arms. A pointless study.

    I’ll use their words… “.08 seconds over 30 meters” becomes .36 over 100 meters, because velocity loses occurs exponentially. The longer the distance the great the losses. It is essential for capturing kinetic energy as the upper body counter acts the movement of the lower body ultimately creating torque and acceleration.

    .08 seconds is still less and would be considered slower. Epic failure for a doctorial paper. I’m just a coach.
