ST. JULIAN’S, Malta — Taylor Swift fans, are you looking for a cheap ticket to The Eras Tour? A new study finds your best bet is to fly to London! Researchers have found that Taylor Swift tickets at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom are actually 300% cheaper than they are at the singer’s upcoming venues in the United States!
Researchers with JeffBet analyzed the average price of attending Swift’s five-night London performance on ticket resale platform StubHub. That search revealed the average price of a ticket for The Eras Tour in Wembley Stadium is just $721 (£564).
Many Swifties might be asking right now, “How is $721 a cheap ticket?” Well, let’s look at the state of the U.S. ticket market when the megastar returns to North America in October. The study found that the cheapest ticket for the remaining Eras Tour shows in the U.S. will cost fans an average of $2,312. That’s a mind-boggling 314% mark-up!
At the time researchers conducted their ticket search, the cheapest U.S. seat to Taylor Swift’s first Miami show at Hard Rock Stadium in October would cost a fan a staggering $3,163. I guess fans could just tell their credit card company to shake it off.
When The Eras Tour wraps up on Dec. 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia, researchers found that fans may find a slight “deal” in Canada, with the cheapest tickets averaging only $2,991. For Swifties looking to buy these tickets as a gift, just tell your loved ones this counts for Christmas this year, next year, and many years to come!

Is it really cheaper to fly to London to see Taylor Swift?
If you really need to see Taylor Swift this year, let’s do the math on actually flying across the Atlantic just to catch this concert. With Swift’s five-day U.K. show starting on Aug. 15, StudyFinds did a quick search for last-minute flights to London.
After browsing through popular travel sites Expedia, Kayak, and Priceline, our research revealed that a one-way ticket from New York to London would cost approximately $460. So, when you combine that with the $721 for one ticket to Wembley Stadium, you’ve only spent $1,181 so far.
Compared to the average price of $2,312 to see Taylor Swift in the United States, you still have $1,131 in your pocket for food, merchandise, and a plane ticket home!
“With Wembley just around the corner, fans are eager to secure their spots at one of Taylor’s highly anticipated shows. Seeing her perform in London offers significant financial savings for British fans compared to those across the pond. For some, it might be more cost-effective to travel to London for a Wembley show than to attend a concert in the U.S.,” a spokesperson for JeffBet says in a statement to StudyFinds.
“However, we want to remind everyone to consider their financial situation carefully before purchasing. While it’s exciting to see your favorite artist live, it’s important to prioritize your budget and avoid overspending.”
Study Methodology
A price difference was analyzed by averaging the cheapest ticket prices for all Wembley shows and comparing this to an average of the cheapest tickets for the remaining 21 U.S. shows. These tickets are based on seats with restricted views, and all data used was accurate at the time of collection (Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024).
