Best Target Black Friday TV Deals: Top 4 Discounts, According To Experts

Who doesn’t want a new big-screen television this holiday season? They’re usually all the rage thanks to massive Black Friday discounts being offered at retail giants, including Target, which is already offering deals. That’s why StudyFinds has put together a list of the best Target Black Friday TV deals you should take advantage of this year.

To get more consumers shopping online and in-store, Target is offering a Holiday Price Match Guarantee this holiday season. According to their website, “Starting October 22, 2023, if you purchase an item in-store or online and the price goes lower at Target on or before December 24, 2023, you can request a price match.”

But remember, having an expensive TV doesn’t always mean it has the best quality. A recent study shows that a television’s quality isn’t defined by the price but by other factors like resolution and color accuracy. A more affordable TV may have a higher resolution, but people are often drawn to big-ticket prices as an indicator for quality. That is important to consider going into Black Friday TV shopping.

The List: Best Target Black Friday TV Deals, According to Experts

1. LG 4K OLED TVs

Topping the list of the best black Friday TV deals at Target is the LG 4K OLED. “Released in 2023, the LG C3 is one of the best mid-tier OLED TVs you can buy,” writes Tom’s Guide about the LG C3 42-inch 4K OLED. “In our LG OLED C3 review, we said the Editor’s Choice TV delivers perfect blacks, thrilling contrast, and rich, accurate colors at every point across the visual spectrum. It’s also perfect for gamers with a suite of Game Optimizer features and a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers Dolby Vision/HDR 10/HLG support, four HDMI 2.1 ports, built-in Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant/Apple HomeKit support and LG’s Magic Remote.” This specific TV is going for $999.99 at Target.

Tom’s Guide also recommends the LG 55-inch B3 OLED 4K TV, which also goes for $999.99. “Released in 2023, the LG B3 is a mid-tier OLED TV featuring over 8.3 million self-lit pixels for rich contrast and vibrant colors. For gamers, this TV has a 120Hz refresh rate, Game Optimizer features and HDMI 2.1 support. Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Atmos support is also included.”

If you want to get more bang for your buck, Rolling Stone favors the LG 65-inch 4K Smart OLED TV for $1599.99. “Save up to $400 on this top-rated LG smart TV ahead of the holidays. It comes with Dolby Vision for a crisp, bright display — perfect for streaming your favorite Christmas movies with the entire family.”

2. Philips QLED Roku TVs

Coming in second on the list is the Philips QLED Roku TV. Clark Deals recommends the Philips 50-inch QLED Roku smart TV for $259.99. “This TV is only available at Target, but you can compare it to a similar TV for $278 at Walmart.”

“A 50-inch 4K TV in the $259.99 realm is already a pretty dang good deal, let alone a QLED model,” says Mashable. “This Philips model is labeled as a special purchase, which means this is an item that may not be on Target’s website year-round and was listed at an already-low price just for the early Black Friday event. So while the 7% discount is hardly a Black Friday-level chunk off, the price is stellar to begin with.”

The Krazy Coupon Lady recommends the Philips 55-inch 4K QLED Smart Roku TV for $289.99. “You won’t find an exact match for this TV at any other retailer right now. But since 55-inch QLED TV prices generally start at $350 and reach well over $1,000, this early Black Friday deal at Target is pretty good.”

3. TCL S4 4K TV

Third on the list is the TCL S4 4K TV at Target. “One of our favorite budget early Black Friday TV deals is this TCL 50-inch 4K TV on sale for $229.99 at Target,” writes TechRadar. “A 50-inch 4K smart TV for $229.99 is an incredible price, and this TCL S4 Series set packs 4K Ultra HD Resolution, Dolby Vision, HDR10, DTS Virtual: X, and the Google TV Smart operating system.”

Mashable is also a fan of the TCL 50-inch 4K TV, where consumers can save $50 off the original price of $279.99.

4. Vizio V Series TVs

Another popular Target Black Friday deal is for the Vizio V Series TV. People.com notes you can “invest in a marked-down” Vizio V Series 55-inch Class 4k LED Smart TV for $315.99.

TechRadar likes the Vizio 50-inch V-Series UHD Smart LED TV from Target, which goes for $249.99. “Get this Vizio 50-inch 4K TV for just $249.99, a fantastic value considering you’re getting an array of Smart display features built in. For example, Vizio’s own SmartCast platform works with both Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast and supports all the usual streaming services like Netflix right out of the box. Is it likely to be the best TV in the world? Likely not, but if you’re looking for a cheap mid-size TV for casual viewing, then this is a cost-effective option.”
