This next information may or may not surprise you, and it might have you pressing “add to cart” on these Prime Day deals sooner than usual. Americans spend over 400 hours in the kitchen each year. A new survey asked 2,000 Americans about their families’ cooking habits and found the kitchen truly is the heart of the home, with family at the core of culinary joy. Currently spending an average of 67 minutes per day in their kitchens, 77 percent say they used to cook with their family at least once a week growing up, creating some of their favorite childhood memories. Nearly a third of respondents (31%) did so every single day. Just over one in three respondents fondly reflected on memories of eating meals together as a family (37%) and learning how to cook with their relatives (36%). Three in 10 even say going food shopping and cleaning up the kitchen are some of their best memories to look back on. Having a full house had a big impact on respondents’ fondest memories back in the day, with 38 percent saying listening to stories from their parents and grandparents was their favorite memory.

With how much time we spend in the kitchen, it’s no wonder the amount of money people will drop on average to beautify this central space. A new survey of Americans with an annual household income of at least $150,000 found that 45 percent invest more money into their kitchens than any other room in the home — and 72 percent feel like their kitchen is “priceless” when compared to other rooms. However, 82 percent still have an ideal “dream kitchen” in mind, with the most coveted features being an extra-large fridge (50%), extra counter space (50%), additional pantry space (48%), and extra shelf space (45%). When asked to name their most beloved tool or equipment they use in their kitchen, cast iron skillets take the top spot (26%), followed by stainless steel hand tools (16%) and baking sheets (11%). Commissioned by Signature Kitchen Suite and conducted by OnePoll, the study found that people are strongly attached to their kitchens, with many describing feelings of satisfaction (66%), joy (49%), and productivity (47%) when they’re in the “heart of the home.” In fact, the survey shows that the average person is open to spending up to $74,000 to remodel their kitchen.

The List: Best Amazon Prime Day Kitchenware Deals to Look For

1. Ninja AF080 Mini Air Fryer

Air fryers are all the rage now for health, speed, and flavor. It’s no wonder why it’s one of Amazon Prime Day Electronics Deals. “The Ninja AF080 Mini Air Fryer boasts many impressive features, but the most notable one is the quick set timer. According to a user, this feature is very important as there are no buttons to press or LEDs to look at; simply turn the timer on and it’s off and running. This user also mentioned that they used this air fryer to cook frozen chicken wings with zero oil, and they came out delicious and crispy,” says Best Views Reviews.

Ninja AF080 Mini Air Fryer

When you look at a picture of the Ninja Mini Air Fryer, it doesn’t look mini, but as you scroll through the pictures on Amazon their pictures put it in better perspective. “I wish more products were designed like the Ninja Mini Air Fryer: total simplicity of function. Who needs an air fryer with 15 buttons? In addition to adding to the cost, they are useless other than on / off. Which happens to be the only control on the Ninja mini. Turn the dial to the desired time for on, and turn it back until the bell rings for off. The unit runs at 400 degrees all the time. It has a basket that is perfect for a one-person household. The food comes out beautifully browned and juicy. Fried chicken and potatoes are perfect,” boasts an Amazon customer.

You can make both full meals in the Ninja Air Fryer or just sides, no matter what it is it comes out delicious. Just listen to this Amazon user: “I have had this Ninja now for six months and I love it. I only cook for two, me and my wife, so for us it is ideal. If you have used other Air Fryers I should warn you this heats a little hotter. Which in some cases is excellent, but others may be better the first time. I’ve learned not to put a lot of trust in the recipe‘s recommended time. You will have to experiment yourself and just remember to keep an eye on what you are cooking for the first time. Everything I’ve cooked in this unit has come out great!”

2. Vitamix Propel Series 750 Blender

If you are a health nut or just like a good soup, then you’ve probably heard of Vitamix. The newest version is on the list of Amazon deals and people are loving it. “The Vitamix Propel 750 is fantastic for multi-purpose use. Its 64oz jar can blend multiple servings or small batches efficiently. It’s easy to use for all kinds of recipes, including smoothies, soups, nut butter, and frozen drinks. It’s also very sturdy and has a wide range of speed settings. There are also several automatic blending programs, including a soup program that heats ingredients with friction from the blades. However, it’s loud compared to similarly-priced Vitamix blenders like the A3500,” says rtings.com.

The Vitamix Propel Series machines are designed to take the place of the Classic and G-series blenders which will be eventually phasing out. “The Propel series were created to join the Explorian in the Good, Better, Best category and are great for a person who has an older Vitamix and wants to upgrade to a more modern model without spending too much money,” elaborates Blending with Harry.

This next reviewer tested three different recipes to get a handle on the different features including the hot soup program, the smoothie program, and the pulse button. “As expected everything turned out great. And you could really tell that these machines were well-built and are designed to be reliable for the long haul. Propel 750’s container is listed as dishwasher safe (while the Pro 750’s is not) Just like every single full-size Vitamix model,” explains Life is no Yoke.

3. SodaStream Art Sparkling Water Maker Bundle

The first reviewer was so confident in this product that they named it the best sparkling water machine. “The SodaStream Art is the best-looking and most thoughtfully-designed carbonation device we’ve ever used. And it’ll eventually save you money — if you drink a lot of sparkling water,” says Inside Hook.

SodaStream Art Sparkling Water Maker Bundle

Wirecutter tested four sparkling water makers and the SodaStream came in on top. “The SodaStream Art was the best SodaStream model we tested, producing sufficiently carbonated seltzer with satisfying, tingly bubbles. The Art uses SodaStream’s Quick Connect CO2 cylinders, so it’s a great option if you want to avoid the repetitive wrist motion of screwing in CO2 cylinders that our other recommended tabletop soda makers require. With the Art, you just place the cylinder in the back of the machine and lower the pink plastic lever, locking the cylinder in place.”

Another win for this reviewer. The SodaStream Art Quick Connect makes it easier to fit cylinders, is dishwasher safe, and more! “The end result may be the same (sparkling water or flavored drinks), but the SodaStream Art delivers a refinement of a tried-and-tested design. Its side handle makes carbonating easier, while the Quick Connect Cylinder is easier to fit than the old screw-in design. A stylish finish and a great choice of flavored add-ons mean there’s no compromise to being eco-friendly with this machine,” offers Trusted Reviews.

4. Vtopmart Airtight Food Storage Containers with Lids

The Vtopmart Containers come with 24 reusable labels if you prefer to list what is inside each one. “These containers are great for pantries, as they are spacious and equipped with a solid side locking system. The containers are translucent, so you’ll always know what’s inside each piece at a glance,” says dontwasteyourmoney.com.

This next user loves these containers so much that they purchased seven sets! “Why didn’t I do this years ago??? We have already purchased seven sets! two of this one, two of another, and one each of larger containers. Completely airtight, easy to use, space-saving & durable! No more hodge-podge of canisters & random bags. Bending the tabs back and forth a few times before use will make sealing them easier. Lids take a bit to dry completely after washing but other than that, I have zero negative things to say about them. Labels are easy to use and come clean with a dab of water on a paper towel. They come packaged well, didn’t get one broken one in any of the seven sets. I may need another set!” states an Amazon user in their review of the product.

Another Amazon user raves about these containers. “These are very well made. The seals are tight and the tabs are easy to open and close. I haven’t used any liquids in them so I can’t attest whether they will leak or not. They are not as clear as hard plastic is, sorta cloudy looking, but you can clearly see what’s inside them (Hopefully that makes sense). Third, all the different sizes have come in handy for all the different staples I have put in them such as sugar, flour, granola bars, crackers, candy, etc…If you’re looking for storage containers then look no further. These are by far the best ones I have used. I have three other brands I have used in the past and the seals were nowhere close to being the tightness these are.”

5. Amazon Basics Enameled Cast Iron Covered Oval Casserole Skillet

If you’re an avid cook, a good skillet is a must-have. Several reviewers weigh in on the legitimacy of the Amazon Basics Enameled Cast Iron Skillet. “I have been cooking with the Lodge Dutch oven to great success for more than five years — bread, soups, and large pasta casseroles, you name it. But I wanted a smaller skillet to be its friend for sides or on its own for dishes that didn’t require the big, deep pot. I found the perfect companion in an unlikely source: Amazon Basics. The Amazon Basics Enameled Cast Iron Covered Casserole Skillet is budget-friendly, versatile, durable, and attractive. It has all the things I’ve ever wanted in an everyday piece of cookware, and it’s been holding strong in my kitchen for the past three years,” says The Kitchn.

When Dontwasteyourmoney.com analyzed 28 expert reviews, the Amazon Basics Non-Stick Enameled Skillet placed 1st when they looked at the top seven products in the category. “Available in 16 different colors, this enameled cast iron Dutch oven is hard to beat. It’s safe in temperatures of up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and holds up to 6 quarts of your favorite soups and sauces. The side handles make the piece easy to carry, while the lid keeps ingredients from spilling over onto the counter.”

Some users love this skillet so much that it becomes their go-to gift idea. “I love this pan. I love it so much that I ended up buying one for a friend and she loves it too, it’s just like the more costly or well-known fancy version,” boasts a happy customer on Amazon.
